HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent in Richmond, VA to coordinate and manage the startup and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

You will oversee equipment procurement, critical path scheduling, and on-site coordination with subs and the design team to resolve MEP conflicts. Qualifications

• A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.
• 4 years experience in Mechanical or Electrical System Construction; 3 years combined experience in Mission Critical Construction, Hospital Construction, MEP Project Management, or Start-up/Commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage startup and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and control systems per contract documents and project schedule.
• Assist bidding mechanical and electrical trades; manage equipment procurement process.
• Develop MEP critical path schedule and track critical path construction and startup activities.
• Review submittals; coordinate and conduct project meetings for critical MEP work.
• Develop Method of Procedure (MOP) for critical work in live environments; resolve MEP conflicts with design team and subcontractors.
• Oversee quality control for MEP systems construction; manage startup and pretesting; support third-party commissioning; maintain commissioning documentation.
• Build strong client relations.
