Job summary

Choate Construction Company seeks an MEP Specialist to provide expertise across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, low-voltage, and controls systems from early pursuit through turnover. You will work with project teams to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient MEP execution while aiding cost analysis, scheduling, system performance, and contract development for multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, low-voltage, and controls systems.
• Experience coordinating with preconstruction, project management, and field teams.
• Ability to collaborate with trade partners for scope and sequencing.
• Experience in cost evaluations, constructability reviews, value engineering, and procurement.
• Commitment to safety and quality in the field and commissioning.
• Ability to mentor project teams and build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise across MEP disciplines from design through construction and turnover.
• Partner with preconstruction, project management, and field teams to drive alignment and decision-making.
• Collaborate with trade partners to coordinate scope, sequencing, and system integration.
• Support cost evaluations, constructability reviews, VE, and procurement efforts.
• Champion safety and quality in the field and ensure successful commissioning.
• Mentor and develop project teams and strengthen overall capability.
• Build relationships with clients, designers, and partners to pursue new opportunities.
