MEP Site Manager: Field Construction Lead

Job summary

Gray Construction seeks a Site Manager, MEP to join the Field Operations Team on a project-based basis. The role will coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities on sites, oversee subcontractors, and uphold safety and quality standards. The candidate will have extensive field experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read drawings and manage schedules.

Travel across U.S. project sites is required; reporting to the MEP Project Manager and collaborating with multiple trades

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with minimum 10 years of construction experience OR 15 years of related construction experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in light/heavy industrial sector is highly desired.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager.
• Assist in developing MEP project schedule within the construction schedule and prepare estimates for MEP self-performed work.
• Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
• Schedule work and coordinate subcontractors.
• Ensure safety and quality standards on site and support the QMS program.
