Job Details

Looking for a Sr. MEP Project Manager for our Atlanta, GA location. The Senior MEP Project Manager holds overall responsibility for assigned projects of high scope and complexity or multiple clients/projects at the same time. Duties include planning and executing a specific project plan, delivering quality products and services to the client in a timely manner, proactively managing project financials, and serving as the primary contact between the SSR project team and the client.

Key Responsibilities

1. Confirms the project scope and requirements with the client and other stakeholders.
2. Helps develop a financial plan for the project by negotiating fees and contracts.
3. Assists in developing the project staffing plan and preliminary man hour budget.
4. Ensures a Project Coordinator (PC) is assigned to the project.
5. Participates in project kick-off meetings to convey project scope and client expectations.
6. Works with design team to confirm a final man hour budget.
7. Works with the client to understand schedule expectations.
8. Schedules work and communicates schedule information to the project team.
9. Prepares and implements a proactive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for projects.
10. Ensures that invoices are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
11. Attends meetings with owners, clients, and architects.
12. Monitors project budget throughout the project.
13. Identifies, negotiates, and administers fees for additional services.
14. Builds, develops, and grows business relationships vital to the success of the project.
15. Performs risk assessments to develop response strategies.
16. Responds to contractor’s and client’s requests for information.
17. Manages the Construction Administration (CA) process.
18. Supervises the job closeout process.
19. Works alongside Senior PM to increase knowledge of project scope and budgeting.
20. Actively attends internal and external training and educational opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

1. Technical or Bachelor’s degree in one of the major technical disciplines with ten years of practical experience on similar projects.
2. Professional Engineer Licensure in the state of Georgia.
3. Healthcare Building Design Experience Preferred.
4. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies.
6. Knowledge of project approach and system design.
7. Basic accounting knowledge and how to create and maintain budgets.
8. Must be comfortable working with Clients.
