Job summary

Cumming Group in Monterey Park, CA is seeking an MEP Senior Estimator to support educational facility projects. This high-visibility role reports to the PMO Program Controls Manager and the Lead Estimator, and offers the opportunity to influence project outcomes from concept through bid.

You will perform MEP takeoffs, prepare cost estimates, review bids, and collaborate with project managers, engineers and architects to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures across

Qualifications

BS/BA degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business or related field.
Minimum 10 years of professional cost-estimating experience for building projects, including 5-7 years of MEP estimating.
Expert knowledge of cost estimating methods, contracts pricing and different contracting forms.
Proficiency with RS Means, Accubid, Trimble MEP, and Bluebeam Revu; knowledge of local labor costs.

Responsibilities

Lead MEP cost estimates for educational facility projects in the Los Angeles area.
Review bids, change orders, VE studies, and ensure accuracy of estimates.
Perform material takeoffs and quantity surveys for MEP systems.
Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and architects to identify value engineering opportunities.
Develop scoping and cost scenarios based on RFIs/RFCs; work independently and in a team.
