Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our MEP team for a project in New Albany, OH. This full-time, in-person role requires leading coordination across electrical and mechanical systems and engaging vendors, clients, and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of preconstruction experience with MEP, strong plan-reading skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects with detail

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or construction management, or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing preconstruction experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans.
• Familiarity with standard MEP concepts and procedures.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with electrical and mechanical equipment vendors, design engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Procure electrical and mechanical subcontracts and equipment, managing contracts and deliverables from bid solicitation through contract award.
• Coordinate equipment submittals and assist with electrical, mechanical, and overall construction cost estimates.
• Support commercial projects within core markets, ensuring effective coordination and execution.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our MEP team on our project in New Albany, OH. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with electrical and mechanical equipment vendors, design engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Procure electrical and mechanical subcontracts and equipment, managing contracts and deliverables from bid solicitation through contract award.
• Coordinate equipment submittals and assist with electrical, mechanical, and overall construction cost estimates.
