Job summary

Pepper Construction Group LLC is hiring a MEP Quality Engineer to drive quality across multiple projects. The role focuses on developing job-specific quality plans, coordinating with project teams and trade partners, and leading commissioning activities for MEP systems.

The engineer will conduct site visits, perform constructability reviews, and support ongoing education through industry events. Travel within Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 3-5 years' experience in Construction Management, MEP Design, Construction Technology, or Construction Testing.
• Knowledge of Construction Documents and Submittals; understanding of MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Project Teams in developing the Job Specific Quality Plan and review docs to identify challenges and opportunities; represent Pepper in Commissioning Activities.
• Lead Quality pre-installation meetings with Trade Partners; develop Trade Partner Job Specific Quality Plans; review MEP installations and commissioning checklists.
• Conduct Quality Site Visits; document work, take photos, and provide corrective directions.
• Conduct constructability reviews of future jobs to identify risks and capture lessons learned.
• Participate in education and growth opportunities; attend 4-5 conferences or training events per year; support internal training for project teams.
• Develop expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Building Automation, TAB, and Commissioning; act as resource to project teams.
