Job summary

Kleinfelder’s Design team is looking for a Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and plumbing design and project management across public and private sector facilities. You will collaborate with architects, owners, and site engineers to deliver multi-disciplinary mechanical design through planning, design, and construction.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with offices in Hunt Valley, MD or Mechanicsburg, PA, and requires a PE license with strong MEP expertise.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required (MD or PA preferred).
• Ability to be the “Designer of Record” when required.
• Strong technical expertise in MEP/Facilities space.
• Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Ability and motivation to obtain PE in additional states desirable.
• Experience with sustainability and LEED project certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of project execution including organization, subconsultants, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and reporting for mechanical and design engineering services.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to project teams.
• Make technical, cost, and scheduling decisions while upholding quality standards and driving customer value.
• Provide technical guidance, design and skill-based solutions to project teams, vendors, and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and permitting requirements.
