Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking an M/E Engineer 2 to perform routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities, collect data, help develop estimates and support bid analysis in alignment with JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

The role emphasizes learning from senior staff, participating in safety and quality plans, and contributing to the commissioning process through checklists, functional testing and site inspections. Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering (Required).
• 2+ years construction/engineering experience (Required).
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Develop budgetary M/E estimates using the estimating system.
• Assist in reviewing mechanical/electrical options during preconstruction and perform systems analysis.
• Coordinate ME scopes during the bid process and assist with subcontractor selection.
• Aid commissioning with checklists and functional testing, and perform site inspections.
• Develop sequencing for ME systems and ensure schedule alignment.
