Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group seeks an MEP Project Manager for Vernon, TX, with travel. You will lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination to deliver projects on time and within budget, acting as the primary site leader and client liaison.

You will oversee safety programs, manage trades, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and schedule adherence across all project phases.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety program administration for the project.
  • Ensure subs, vendors, and crews have trades, materials, and equipment needed.
  • Oversee subcontractors and vendors to meet schedule and scope.
  • Apply QA/QC to deliver project per specs and quality standards.
  • Prepare and communicate daily progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Conduct site walk-throughs for safety and cleanliness.
  • Identify and resolve field and design issues promptly.
  • Lead meetings to coordinate work and labor concerns.
  • Represent site team in owners’ meetings.
  • Create and maintain site logistics plan with the General Superintendent.
  • Develop scopes of work for each subcontractor.
  • Perform constructability reviews.
  • Organize preconstruction meetings with subcontractors.
  • Track progress against plan and assist recovery planning.
  • Support quality assurance per project QA program.
  • Schedule and lead project close-out and punch-list processes.
  • Manage permit process and documentation.
  • Support strategic planning including VDC and core values.
  • Uphold safety rules, report incidents, wear PPE, and participate in safety training.

MEP Project Manager

Location: Vernon, TX - Traveling

Job Summary:

The MEP Project Manager develops, coordinates, implements, and manages all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing facets necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction. The PM provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members and the client to promote the interest of both the company and the client in all matters. The PM is the primary leader for the construction project and is charged with utilizing their experience and knowledge to make expeditious decisions, model efficiency and run projects efficiently.

Primary Duties:
  • Leading in administering the safety program for the project
  • Ensuring superintendents have the necessary trades, materials, and equipment available to efficiently construct the project
  • Overseeing subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, etc. to support project schedule delivery and scope of work commitments
  • Performing and overseeing of project specific QA/QC practices to ensure project delivered to project specifications and standards of quality
  • Completing and communicating daily reports of activities that were scheduled and competed, along with other communications regarding the project’s progress to all stakeholders
  • Completing walk-throughs of the site to ensure safety, cleanliness, and standards are maintained
  • Identifying and resolving field and design issues
  • Leading meetings to coordinate work and manage labor concerns
  • Representing the site team in owners’ meetings
  • Developing and maintaining the site logistics plan for the project in conjunction with the General Superintendent
  • Developing scopes of work for each subcontractor
  • Performing constructability reviews
  • Arranging and leading preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work
  • Tracking field progress against the “plan,” assisting in the development of the recovery plans if necessary
  • Participating in ensuring quality control is in accordance with the established project quality assurance program
  • Scheduling and leading the project close-out process
  • Coordinating punch list items and procedures
  • Managing of the project permit process
  • Participating in the development of strategic plans including VDC

  • Safety Responsibilities and Expectations
    • Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established Safety Procedures and Work Practices
    • Report all incidents, near hits and hazards to management.
    • Required to wear and maintain personal PPE.
    • Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations.
    • Participate in workplace inspections.
    • Comply with statutory requirements, including duty of care.
    • Participate in required and/or assigned training.
    • Provide suggestions to improve Safety.
    • Present a mature approach to working safely.
    • Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute.
    • Assists with administering the site safety program as required and ensuring Trade Partner compliance with OSHA standards and Site Specific Requirements and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
    • Other related duties as needed and assigned by Management in support of the successful completion of the project.
Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate University degree or higher (preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field) is preferred
  • Other relevant education, training or work experience may substitute for bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years construction management experience
  • Experience in managing trades valued at $50MM
  • Experience with large / complex safety plan implementation
  • PMP certified preferred
Requirements:
  • Strong working knowledge of programs such as Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project
  • Experience with large / complex safety plan implementation
  • A proven track record of organizing project teams to accomplish project goals
  • Effective negotiation and contract management skills to represent the company with the Client
  • Experience in managing a project using established methods of cost reporting, i.e. cash flow, safety, cost, schedule, VDC
  • Extensive knowledge of all facets of construction
  • A proven track record of organizing project team to accomplish project goals
  • Understand contract types and terms, i.e. General Conditions, Burn Rates, Fee Analysis,
  • Understand various insurance programs, i.e. SDI, BR policies, OCIP, CCIP
