Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a senior-level Electrical MEP Specialist to lead QA/QC, startup, commissioning, and energization activities on mission-critical data center projects. The role oversees installation and commissioning of UPS systems, switchgear, PDUs, and controls systems while coordinating with owners, contractors, OEMs, utilities, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical or MEP construction experience.
• 2+ years supporting mission-critical/data center projects.
• Experience with QA/QC, commissioning, startup, and energization of electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of UPS systems, switchgear, PDUs, and power distribution.
• Experience troubleshooting controls, PLCs, EPMS, and SCADA systems.
• Experience issuing permits and MOPs.
• Procore proficiency and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical QA/QC inspections and deficiency resolution.
• Oversee installation, startup, and commissioning of UPS systems, switchgear, PDUs, and related electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate switchgear energization with utilities, commissioning teams, and owners.
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, PLC, EPMS, and SCADA communication issues.
• Develop and execute permits, MOPs, and safety procedures (LOTO/PPE).
• Drive commissioning readiness, testing, and project turnover activities.
• Mentor junior MEP team members and provide project status updates.
