Qualifications

About the Opportunity

An established construction General Contractor is seeking an experienced MEP QA/QC professional to support mission-critical data center projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance across all MEP systems.

You will collaborate closely with project teams, trade partners, and stakeholders to ensure systems are installed correctly, thoroughly tested, and successfully handed over. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the MEP quality assurance and control program across large-scale, mission-critical projects
  • Review and validate MEP submittals, shop drawings, and equipment selections with a focus on system reliability and performance
  • Conduct regular site inspections across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low-voltage systems to ensure installation quality
  • Identify, document, and track non-conformance issues through to resolution
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges and maintain alignment
  • Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, testing records, commissioning documentation, and turnover packages
  • Support commissioning activities, including system start-up and integrated systems testing
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and internal procedures
  • Participate in pre-installation meetings, quality reviews, and stakeholder coordination to ensure clear communication and expectations
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in MEP QA/QC, coordination, or field supervision, ideally within mission-critical or data center environments
  • Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, UPS, generators, cooling systems, fire protection, and low-voltage infrastructure
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes, integrated systems testing, and performance validation
  • Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
  • Experience using construction management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, or BIM platforms
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CQM, QC Manager, ASHRAE, NICET) are advantageous
