Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Architectural/Engineering project manager to lead complex design and construction projects in Kansas. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and resources while serving as the primary client contact and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a 4+ year track record in project management in design/construction, with preferred licensure and PMP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering or related field is required or preferred.
• PMP certification preferred; professional licensure (RA/PE/PS/RLA) preferred.
• Experience: 4+ years managing projects; 10+ years acceptable with training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals including scope, schedule, and fee budgets; negotiate fees and changes.
• Ensure quality of work, productivity, and actions of the team.
• Lead full lifecycle of architecture and engineering projects from initiation to closeout.
• Serve as primary client contact; manage relationships and communications.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for delivery.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams; ensure technical quality and schedule adherence.
• Develop and monitor work plans with tasks and deliverables for teams and subconsultants.
• Prepare contracts, change orders, fee proposals, and client billing.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, standards, and client requirements.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation for scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead internal project meetings and client presentations; prepare progress reports.
• Contribute to business development, including proposals and interviews.
• Billings and accounts receivable management in collaboration with accounting.
• Supervise direct reports; perform other duties as assigned.
