Job summary

ms consultants, inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer to join our Building Systems team.

You will lead project production, collaborate with in-house architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines, and oversee designs from concept through construction. You will own the technical content of building systems designs, manage projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with codes and standards while supporting professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET-accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in MEP engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and production of MEP systems for commercial and institutional facilities across multiple industries using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and technicians in the development of high-quality construction documents and technical specifications.
• Perform preliminary and detailed engineering calculations to support HVAC, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, sanitary, and water supply system designs.
• Coordinate design elements with other in-house disciplines, including architecture, structures, site civil, and landscape design.
• Contribute to technical decision-making and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Participate in cross-training opportunities across all aspects of MEP engineering, with support for continued learning and professional development.
