ESPO Corporation is seeking a Project Manager/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Washington, DC. The role combines project management with hands-on mechanical design of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to codes, budgets, and schedules.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with architects, owners, and contractors, and oversee site visits to confirm design intent and quality during construction. A PE license, 10+ years in MEP consulting, and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• PE license required; active in state of DC preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in MEP consulting and mechanical system design.
• Proven project management experience overseeing multiple complex projects.
• Advanced knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead project planning & design with architects and owners to develop scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Design and oversee mechanical systems for diverse building types.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet milestones, budgets, and timelines.
• Maintain QA procedures and document project reports, minutes, specs, and records.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Conduct site visits to verify design intent and quality on construction sites.
