Job summary

MOREgroup, through its IEG brand, seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our MEP team in Houston or Fort Worth. You will lead mechanical engineering efforts on complex projects from concept through construction, ensuring high quality, code compliance, and coordinated delivery across disciplines.

A Texas PE license is ideal, and you will mentor designers, collaborate with leadership, and help grow a forward‑thinking practice that serves healthcare, education, and civic clients.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the mechanical engineer of record on assigned projects.
• Collaborate with leadership to refine and implement design and modeling standards and best practices.
• Provide final QA/QC review of electrical construction documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and edit electrical specifications based on project requirements and industry standards.
• Mentor and develop electrical designers and project managers.
• Support and lead department meetings and QA/QC reviews.
• Assist with production resource planning and cross-team coordination.
