Job summary

BL Companies in Wilmington, NC seeks a Mechanical Engineer with 4–7 years of MEP experience to design, develop, and execute projects from concept to completion. You will collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, code-compliant mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of MEP engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of federal and state codes governing MEP design.
• Willingness to develop project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop flow diagrams for mechanical systems.
• Perform heat load and static pressure calculations.
• Assist in sizing equipment and ductwork to meet project specifications.
• Assist in designing basic one-line risers and electrical layouts.
• Contribute to lighting and control plans and power feeder determinations.
• Assist in selecting fixtures and components for plumbing systems.
• Contribute to pipe sizing and routing for sanitary, storm, gas, and domestic systems.
• Support fire protection design with risers and sprinkler head locations.
