Tom Green & Company Engineers in Austin, TX is seeking an MEP Mechanical Engineer (EIT) to join our design team. You will design building HVAC and plumbing systems under experienced PE supervision and participate in forensic work on complex projects.

As you progress toward your PE, you will lead own projects, review drawings, and gain hands-on experience with load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping, and specifications while collaborating on varied educational, healthcare, and

Qualifications

• FE exam or EIT certification with PE in sight over the next year or two.
• A few years of hands-on building mechanical design at an MEP or A/E firm.
• Experience with load calculations and drafting software (Revit or AutoCAD).
• Curiosity about why systems fail and ability to work in the Austin office.

Responsibilities

• Design building HVAC and plumbing systems under PE review.
• Perform load calculations and select equipment; design ductwork and piping.
• Create schedules and specifications; support forensic investigations.
• Visit job sites to verify constructions match designs and learn on the ground.
• As you progress toward PE, take ownership of your own projects.
