Job summary

Public Storage is seeking a Maintenance II to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues across our facilities. You will work independently with a strong attention to detail to keep sites running smoothly.

Responsibilities include roofing, gutter repairs, sprinkler testing, lighting and electrical work, gates and bollards, fencing, landscaping, cameras, doors, painting, and more. A 5-year maintenance background and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to transport, lift and move items up to 50lbs
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Ability to learn and be proficient in learning new vendor software applications.

Responsibilities

• Roofing: Cleaning, inspection, and leak repairs.
• Gutters: Cleaning and repairing leaks or damage.
• Lawn Sprinkler System: Testing, head, timer, setting, and repair.
• Lighting: Replacing bulbs, switches, timers, fixtures, exit/EM lighting, and inspections.
• Electrical: Replacing outlets/switches, troubleshooting, and securing devices.
• Gates: Lubrication, inspection, and photo eye repairs/alignment.
• Bollards: Straightening, replacement, and new installations.
• Fencing: Security improvements, repairs, and inspections.
• Landscaping: Trimming overgrowth and removing debris.
• Cameras: Inspection and minor repairs.
• Doors: Adjustments, springs, handles, locks, hasps, seals, lubrication.
• Painting: Esthetic painting and parking lot striping.
• Abandoned Goods: Assisting with heavy items.
• Golf Carts: Battery check, tire maintenance, and oil changes.
• Unit Readiness: Wall and insulation repairs and floor staining.
