Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer with MEP experience to join our Sacramento team. You will assist the PM and Superintendent on commercial projects, manage scheduling, submittals, RFIs, and cost control, while ensuring quality and on-time delivery across multiple sites.

The role requires 3–5 years in commercial construction with Procore experience; Bachelor's degree is preferred. Competitive compensation and benefits accompany this position at Jobot.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is desired, but not required.
• 3–5 years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
• MEP experience is desired for this role.
• Experience with Procore construction software.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; team player.
• Ability to work well in a team and to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in scheduling, cost control, expediting, quantification, estimating, and safety.
• Prepare submittal log updates and RFIs with emphasis on outstanding items.
• Review subcontractor submittals for conformance with specs and contract documents.
• Prepare, address and distribute RFIs to design consultants, owners and subcontractors.
• Prepare construction schedule using Microsoft Project; justify extra work or change orders.
• Prepare material take-offs, requisitions, and purchase orders.
• Oversee daily job logs and As-Built records; gather closeout documentation.
