Job summary
Mississippi Power is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial building systems (MEP) including HVAC, electrical and plumbing. You will support safe, reliable facility operations through preventative maintenance, on-demand work, and emergency response.
The role requires broad technical experience, universal refrigerant certification, and the ability to coordinate with contractors to complete maintenance tasks and projects.
Qualifications
- Broad technical experience operating, repairing and troubleshooting HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Universal refrigerant certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of commercial building systems and equipment, including HVAC, pumps, motors and controls.
- Ability to self-perform HVAC, electrical and plumbing installation and repairs.
- Familiarity with building codes, standards and guidelines (EPA, ASHRAE, OSHA, ADA, NEC, NFPA).

- Perform preventative maintenance and respond to on-demand requests and emergencies.
