Job summary

Willmeng Construction in Phoenix is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to develop detailed estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across data centers, healthcare, and industrial projects.

You will collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective, constructible solutions, while mentoring colleagues and refining estimating processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience focused on MEP systems.
• Experience with subcontractor estimating; GC or hybrid preferred.
• Deep understanding of MEP systems including central utility plants and cleanrooms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel a plus.
• Familiarity with MEP estimating software and digital takeoff tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates and budgets for MEP scopes on diverse projects.
• Analyze drawings, specs, and design documents for scope gaps and constructability.
• Benchmark costs with subs and internal teams; support design-assist and VE.
• Contribute to conceptual estimating and cost-saving opportunities.
• Mentor and cross-train team members in MEP estimating practices.
• Manage multiple bids and deliverables under tight deadlines.
• Continuously refine estimating processes and tools.
