Job summary

HLZAE, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Milrose Consultants, LLC, is seeking a Project Associate - MEP Engineer in New York City to support restoration and building systems projects. This role offers exposure to field inspections, technical analysis, and construction documentation within multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing engineering degree and 1–3 years of relevant experience, plus AutoCAD proficiency and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering (or related field) is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Support MEP and building restoration projects across all phases under supervision.
• Assist with site inspections, field measurements, and condition assessments (including elevated and confined spaces).
• Prepare and update technical documents: drawings, reports, specifications, and field notes.
• Create and modify AutoCAD drawings and sketches.
• Participate in client, contractor, and consultant meetings.
• Track project documentation, photos, and records.
• Help monitor construction progress and identify issues or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
