Job summary

Clark Dietz, Inc. in Indianapolis seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the Central Indiana MEP Team. You will design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for public sector facilities, travel to local project sites as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office; Load 3D or energy modeling is a plus. A valid driver's license is required and licensure support is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with EI/EIT certification preferred.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite required; Load 3D or energy modeling tools a plus.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to draft reports and present ideas.

Responsibilities

• Creates drawings, plan sheets and models following the company’s design standards and utilizes the designated CAD or modeling software.
• Executes planning and design tasks including computations, analysis and modeling for facility rehabilitations
• Conducts site visits to assess the specification of mechanical equipment for public facilities, utilities and industrial applications.
• Assists in the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Applies engineering principles, applicable standards (ASHRAE, NFP, Etc.) and building and industrial codes to develop and evaluate solutions.
• Coordinates project tasks with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
