Job summary

Clark Dietz is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Central Indiana MEP Team in Indianapolis. The role covers HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design for public facilities and infrastructure, with travel to local project sites as needed.

The position may be based in our Indianapolis office; requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience; EI/EIT preferred.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office required; Load 3D or energy modeling tools a plus.
• Strong communication and travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Creates drawings, plan sheets and models following the company's design standards and utilizes the designated CAD or modeling software.
• Executes planning and design tasks including computations, analysis and modeling for facility rehabilitations.
• Conducts site visits to assess the specification of mechanical equipment for public facilities, utilities and industrial applications.
• Assists in the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Applies engineering principles, applicable standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, Etc.) and building and industrial codes to develop and evaluate solutions.
• Coordinates project tasks with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders
