Job description

Position: Project Engineer/ Asst Manager- MEP

Location: Trivandrum

Qualifications: B Tech / Engineering Degree in Mechanical with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities:

• Quantity surveying for estimation and costing for MEP project works.
• Review and analysis of all MEP drawing materials, schedules/programs of work, etc.
• Coordinating all activities with the various teams on site.
• Review the shop drawings, construction details, product data, material samples, inspection plans, method statements, and delivery schedules to confirm compliance with the requirements of the project.
• Ensure civil obstructions have been cleared for MEP contractors regarding MEP activities.
• Engage with authorities at the beginning of the project to ensure that all temporary utilities (power and water) are provided on time and do the same with closing out the project to ensure the disconnection of utility services.
• Coordinate between MEP and civil drawings at the site. Attend meetings with subcontractors, contractors & consultants, clients, and suppliers.
• Conduct materials/work inspections with a consultant.
• Monitor day-to-day work and plan the entire project.
• Monitor work as per specifications and standards.
• Identify subcontractors and suppliers, collect questions, and maintain close coordination with subcontractors.
• Attend authority inspections as per the project schedule. Participate in all testing & commissioning of MEP services.
• Manage all stakeholders and monitor work progress onsite.
• Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with clients and all stakeholders.
• Deliver projects as per clients' agreed timelines.
• Ensure quality control at all stages of the project.
• Check installations as per approved checklists.
• Attend site walks for handing over the project to clients and rectify observed points.
