Red Brick Engineering, an MEP engineering firm based in Utah, is seeking a Multi-Discipline Engineer with experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing building systems design. We are looking for a self-motivated individual capable of handling every aspect of a new build or tenant improvement project, from start to finish.
Note: The engineer does not need to be equally proficient in all disciplines, but experience in both is required.
Responsibilities:
- Work with architects and clients to develop mechanical drawings for various commercial buildings including retail, industrial, educational, governmental, medical, multi-family, and commercial projects.
- Develop and execute plans to grow the engineering division based on existing in-house mechanical, plumbing, and electrical standards.
- Respond to and initiate contact with existing and potential clients to develop business.
- Design, specify, and approve HVAC equipment, ductwork, plumbing fixtures, piping systems, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and data systems.
- Provide conceptual and detailed designs, materials specifications, code compliance, cost estimates, feasibility studies, and support procurement and construction activities.
- Lead and instruct designers to convert engineering concepts into working drawings.
- Ensure familiarity with relevant codes such as IMC, IPC, IFGC, IECC, NEC, NFPA standards, and other applicable codes.
- Research code and regulatory requirements to resolve questions raised by officials, contractors, and team members.
- Willingness to learn and improve proficiency in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and clients.
- Experience with MEP building codes.

- Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 DOE
