Job summary

MPI in Minnesota seeks an experienced MEP Director to lead the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing department within a dynamic General Contractor. You will manage system design, budgets, and schedules while ensuring code compliance and safety, coordinating engineering teams with project stakeholders to deliver reliable building networks.

The role requires a top-tier engineer with 10+ years in commercial MEP construction or PM leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of commercial mechanical/electrical construction, design or PM experience with an MEP focus.
Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating with trades on complex projects.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor internal engineering staff, department managers, and field personnel.
Allocate resources and manage project workloads efficiently.
Develop department goals and align MEP strategies with company objectives.
Oversee HVAC, power distribution and plumbing network design and integration.
Review construction documents and technical reports for accuracy.
Resolve on-site technical and coordination issues between trades.
