Job summary

Blue-Signal-Search in Phoenix seeks a Mechanical/Plumbing Design Engineer to support a robust project pipeline in a collaborative, onsite setting. You will work across multiple project types with leadership visibility and a clear path to growth in a small, active firm.

The role emphasizes mechanical and plumbing design, Revit drafting, and cross-training across systems. Typical hours are 8:00–5:00 with competitive benefits and performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related accredited program.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Experience in a consulting or design firm focused on MEP engineering.
• Prior exposure to HVAC, mechanical, or plumbing design.
• Revit experience strongly preferred; AutoCAD also considered.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and plumbing design documents for commercial and specialty building projects.
• Support HVAC and plumbing layouts, design calculations, equipment selection, and coordination.
• Produce and revise drawings in Revit; AutoCAD familiarity helpful.
• Contribute to project delivery across multiple markets and maintain quality.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align with project objectives.
• Assist with code-based design considerations and technical documentation.
• Cross-train across mechanical and plumbing to expand skills in both areas.
• Contribute quickly with a practical, hands-on approach and limited ramp-up time.
