Job summary

Southland Industries offers an internship and co-op program designed to introduce students to design-build, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. The project engineer intern assists design or project managers in coordinating a project, developing skills in design, estimating, and scheduling to understand design-build coordination.

The program includes hands-on experience, leadership exposure, and potential full-time opportunities, with California-based pay at $26.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Support field labor
• Provide labor feedback
• Support equipment and subcontractor procurement
• Ensure document control
• Support design, trade, and subcontractor coordination
• Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, estimate project changes and impacts, etc.
• Assist in project schedules
