Job summary

Hoquiam School District No. 28 is seeking a Multilingual Education Program (MEP) Coordinator to lead program-wide compliance and reporting for the district’s MEP.

The coordinator ensures federal/state requirements are met, identifies multilingual students, and reports data to state and district offices. The role serves as the district’s Language Access Coordinator and strengthens partnerships with multilingual families and community organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Experience working with migrant, multilingual, or underserved student populations preferred.
• Experience coaching or leading adult professional learning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between schools, multilingual families, and community organizations.
• Maintain clear, respectful communication with families and ensure language access and responsiveness.
• Provide program guidance to MEP staff and school personnel regarding MEP requirements.
• Demonstrate cultural humility in all student and family interactions.
