Job summary

Novo Construction Inc. is seeking an MEP Coordinator to manage and coordinate all MEPF systems across Bay Area projects. You will ensure proper coordination, on-schedule delivery, and adherence to project specifications, client standards, and quality.

The role serves as primary liaison among project teams, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors. The ideal candidate has deep MEP knowledge, construction methods, and experience reviewing plans and coordinating teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience in 2D clash coordination.
• Knowledge of Building Monitoring Systems (BMS) and MEP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• LEED AP preferred.
• Proficient with project management/scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEPF designs among all project stakeholders.
• Review MEP drawings, specifications and shop drawings for accuracy and constructability.
• Resolve design conflicts using coordination meetings and BIM/clash tools.
• Monitor MEP installation to ensure compliance with specs and quality.
• Lead coordination meetings with architects and engineers to avoid conflicts.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure progress according to the schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.
