Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Construction Assistant in Cedar Rapids, IA to support project managers with documentation, meeting packages, and pricing packages. You will coordinate information with subs and project teams, and help maintain operation and maintenance manuals to support successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate has strong organization, self-motivation, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with clear, professional communication.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree preferred.
• Experience with a professional organization and accountability is preferred.
• Self-motivated and proactive – takes initiative and seeks responsibility.
• Experience with Word, Excel and other Microsoft-based software.
• Ability to adapt to and learn sector, project, and specific software systems.

Responsibilities

• The Construction Assistant reports directly to the Project Manager.
• Communicate daily with PM staff, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
• Ensure effective communication, quality of work, and timely delivery of documentation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with audiences of varying backgrounds.
