Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking undergraduates eager to gain hands-on experience in construction. Interns will work with project teams across office and field environments, supporting the full project lifecycle from bidding to completion.

Assignments may include relocation to remote sites, with housing provided in certain situations. Expect 10–12 week tenure at 40 hours per week, with transportation requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students in construction-related fields.
• Hands-on practical experience in the construction field is a plus.
• Experience assisting project teams in managing construction projects is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams in managing construction projects from bidding through final completion.
• Support office and job site activities; coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Participate in daily project tasks such as quantity take-off, layout, RFIs, submittals, and document control.
• Support scheduling, cost estimation, value engineering, and project closeout activities.
