Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company offers an internship for undergraduate students to gain hands-on practical experience in the construction field. Qualified applicants will assist project teams in managing construction projects across all phases from bidding to final completion.

Assignments include both office and job site work; relocation to a remote site may be required. Housing may be provided in certain situations, and transportation is required for interns running between sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Housing may be provided in certain situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating the work between the owner, architect & subcontractors
• Assist with reviewing construction documents & specifications
• Assist with preparing billings to owner & submitting change orders
• Attend weekly progress meetings
• Interfacing with subcontractors & suppliers

Education

Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology or construction management, construction technology
