Job summary

Mussett Nicholas & Associates in Indianapolis is seeking an MEP BIM/CAD Technician to support our team of mechanical and electrical engineers, architects, and project managers on the production and design of project deliverables. You will develop sketches, layouts, drawings, exhibits, and specifications using BIM and CAD tools.

The role requires strong collaboration and communication, the ability to learn new technologies quickly, and a detail-oriented approach to drafting and modeling.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, CAD/Drafting, Construction Technology, or related field.
• Previous BIM/CAD software experience essential.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
• Experience in an architectural environment preferred.
• Understanding of structural drafting and design.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Strong attention to detail, planning, research, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage time and multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings and models using BIM and/or CAD software.
• Learn rules, regulations, and client design specifications and apply to drafting.
• Interpret, translate and incorporate mark-ups into drawings.
• Ensure all drawings and models follow established standards and procedures.
• Support BIM needs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering projects.
• Additional duties as assigned.
