Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent for our Richmond area projects, supporting the Project Superintendent and Project Manager to execute large-scale commercial builds.

You will oversee MEP activities, enforce safety, manage schedules, and ensure quality, working across engineering, estimating, and field teams. You will advance your construction management career on high-profile projects, coordinating with multiple job sites and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as General Foreman/General Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent or equivalent
• Ability to supervise large crew (10+ members)
• Experience with man-hour reports, job cost reports, workforce planning and estimating
• Understanding of construction cost control, forecasting and goal setting
• Strong verbal and written communication across disciplines
• Ability to present information to clients and colleagues effectively
• OSHA 30 and CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Supervise field foremen for MEP
• Oversee a trade on a larger project with supervision support
• Perform a wide range of skilled construction tasks
• Coordinate with engineering, estimating and project teams to meet drawings and schedules
• Coordinate safety on site and ensure proper material readiness
• Review 2-week look-aheads and conduct weekly foreman meetings
• Track project progress and maintain client/vendor relationships
• Utilize AXIOM to review logs and ensure estimates are met
• Perform other duties as assigned
