Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking an MEP Assistant Superintendent in Seattle, WA, to support field inspections, scheduling, and commissioning for our complex MEP projects.

You will work directly with the MEP Superintendent and site team to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role emphasizes collaboration, documentation, and coordination of mechanical and electrical systems, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred.
• 2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction with a GC.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Leadership skills; able to build and lead a team.
• Problem solving aptitude; ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel.
• Proficiency with computer software relevant to construction management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field inspections and progress updates on MEP scope.
• Support document control, equipment inspections, vendor coordination, and startup/commissioning processes.
• Maintain safety standards and assist in project meetings; record minutes.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project.
• Help develop an MEP critical path schedule and update project schedule.
• Track critical path construction, equipment deliveries, and subcontractor submittals.
• Resolve MEP issues with the MEP Manager; support quality control and startup testing.
• Assist with commissioning documentation and closeout activities.
