Job summary

HITT Contracting in Seattle, WA seeks an MEP Assistant Superintendent to develop skills in technical MEP construction and management, working with the project MEP Superintendent on field inspections, progress updates, and coordination of equipment startup and commissioning.

You will help maintain safety standards, manage submittals and documentation, track schedules, coordinate with vendors, and support startup and commissioning activities, with opportunities to lead teams and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred.
• 2–5 years of commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel as needed.
• Proficient with project scheduling and document control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards on site.
• Assist in bidding mechanical and electrical trades.
• File required project documentation and minutes.
• Attend project meetings and record notes.
• Collaborate with the project team and site operations.
• Develop and update MEP critical path schedule.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries and commissioning.
• Support startup, pretesting, and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Manage commissioning documentation and closeout tasks.
