Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a MEP Assistant Superintendent to advance field inspections, documentation control, and startup/commissioning support for our projects.

You will work with the MEP Superintendent and operations team to manage critical paths and ensure quality in mechanical and electrical systems. Ideal candidates have 2-5 years in commercial construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and a willingness to travel as needed.

• Experience: 2-5 years in commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to HITT’s safety standards.
• Assist bidding mechanical and electrical trades.
• Ensure that required documentation is filed.
• Assist in conducting project meetings and recording minutes.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team.
• Assist in developing an MEP critical path schedule.
• Update project schedule and overall logistics.
• Coordinate and track critical path construction and startup activities.
• Review mechanical and electrical submittals.
• Track and coordinate equipment deliveries.
• Support MEP manager with conflict resolution.
• Support quality control for MEP systems construction.
• Assist in startup and pretesting of MEP systems.
• Support third party commissioning activities.
• Manage commissioning documentation.
• Assist in closeout process.
