Job summary

HITT Contracting in Austin seeks a MEP Assistant Superintendent to develop skills in technical MEP construction and management. You will work with the project MEP Superintendent, conduct field inspections, assist with documentation, and support startup and commissioning.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety standards, coordinating mechanical and electrical trades, tracking submittals and deliveries, updating schedules, and aiding quality control through startup and commissioning to project

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree strongly preferred in construction, engineering, or business.
• 2–5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to lead a team.
• Aptitude for problem solving and an ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards.
• Assist in coordinating mechanical and electrical trades.
• Manage documentation and submittals; track equipment deliveries.
• Update project schedules and assist with startup and commissioning processes.
• Support project closeout and quality control for MEP systems.
