Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs seeks mentors for the Beginning Teacher Mentorship program at Cranberry Prosperity Elementary. The mentor supports a beginning teacher for a year-long period, with assignments on a semester-to-semester basis and guidance in classroom instruction.

Application Procedure

Preference for teachers at the same school, teaching the same or similar subject and grade level as the beginning teacher. Mentor must have completed the WV Center for Professional Development's mentor training institute prior to or during the first semester of such assignment. Preference given to those teachers holding the Master Mentor Teacher Advanced Credential. EMPLOYMENT TERM: The Beginning Teacher Mentorship is a year-long experience, completed in the semester increments. The mentor is assigned on a semester-to-semester basis pending the placement of the beginning teacher.
