Putnam County Schools WV Buffalo Elementary School is seeking a Mentor Teacher – Multicat/Resource for the 2026-27 school year and 2027-28 semester, with an immediate starting date. Qualifications

• Five (5) Years Teaching Experience.
• Must Participate In Training Program.
• Master’s Degree And/Or Previous Advanced Training In Teacher Effectiveness.
• Willingness To Assist New Teachers And Perform Assigned Responsibilities Such As:
• Regular Observations/Conferences
• Attendance At Monthly Support Team Meetings
• Ongoing Support And Assistance To New Employee
• Same Programmatic Level As Intern And Same Building Location If Possible

Responsabilités

• Participate in a formal beginning teacher assistance program; help resolve problems of beginning teachers through assistance and support; classroom observation and follow-up conferences concerning teaching techniques, classroom management skills, improved relationships with students, etc.; assist with identifying goals and objectives; assist with self-evaluation of intern teacher
• Effective Employment Date: 2026-27 School Year/2027-28 School Year
