Job summary

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast in Bradenton, FL, is seeking a dedicated Mentor Manager for Manatee County. This full-time role supports youth mentoring programs, coordinates schools and community-based activities, and helps youth build confidence and career readiness.

You will lead workshops, supervise volunteers, and ensure program outcomes while working with families, schools, and partners to expand mentoring impact across the county.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, social work, human services, or related field.
• Experience working with youth, mentoring, education, or group facilitation preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Must have dependable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate youth workshops and enrichment activities in school and community settings
• Deliver curriculum focused on resilience, leadership, workforce development, mentoring, and life skills
• Launch and support the school programs such as Beyond School Walls and Resilient Youth.
• Coordinate schedules, activities, volunteers, and special events
• Conduct youth and volunteer interviews, assessments, matching, and ongoing match support
• Maintain accurate program documentation and outcome reporting
• Build positive relationships with students, families, schools, and community partners
• Ensure compliance with youth safety and organizational standards

BBBS Sun Coast is seeking an energetic and relationship-driven professional to support youth mentoring and enrichment programming in the Bradenton office that serves all of Manatee County. This role facilitates engaging workshops, supports mentoring relationships, coordinates site-based activities, and helps youth build confidence, leadership, and career readiness skills.
