Job summary

Care New England is seeking a Mental Health Worker in Providence, RI to support nurses in direct patient care and advocate for patients by modeling professional standards and meeting their service needs.

You will assist with activities of daily living and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment on the unit through observation, interaction, and group activities. A Bachelor's in social sciences is preferred, with related behavioral health experience acceptable in lieu of the degree.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences preferred and/or comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Experience in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.
  • Candidate must have excellent written skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Provides role as patient advocate through his/ /her own role modeling of standards of performance and by communicating and meeting patients' needs for service
