Job summary

Butler Hospital is seeking a dedicated mental health worker to assist in providing patient-centered care and advocacy. The role supports registered nurses in direct patient care, particularly activities of daily living, and helps maintain a safe, therapeutic unit environment through observation and group activities.

Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related behavioral health experience; strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences preferred and/or comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Experience in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.
• Candidate must have excellent written skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
