Job summary

CarePlus NJ, Inc. is seeking a Mental Health Worker for our Partial Care Program in Paramus, NJ.

You will work with individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) to develop coping skills, assist with symptom management, and support socialization and community reintegration. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mental Health discipline (Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Psychiatric Rehabilitation or Criminal Justice).
• 1 year of verified related work or life experience in mental health, residential, and/or partial care services desirable.
• A valid driver's license insurable by the agency's automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the provision and coordination of program services.
• Prepare a complete written intake assessment with treatment plans, goals and time frames.
• Perform ongoing assessment of consumers with knowledge of age-specific populations and diagnoses.
• Run group sessions with clients.
• Provide verbal counseling and crisis intervention services.
• Help with transportation and safely transport consumers daily.
