Job Overview:
Are you passionate about mental healthcare and eager to join a team that shares your enthusiasm and compassion? Riverview Psychiatric Center seeks Mental Health Workers to support direct patient care, rehabilitation, and behavior modification for individuals with mental illness. Responsibilities include implementing treatment programs, providing direct care, and maintaining patient areas. Employees may serve as group leaders for assigned patient groups and work under general supervision.
This position specializes in community reintegration activities, including taking patients on trips, appointments, and visits. It also involves assisting the Recreation Department as needed. A valid Maine driver’s license and ability to operate a State vehicle are required. When not in community activities, staff function as Mental Health Worker II’s on unit schedules. These are flexible positions with rotating weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of direct care mental health experience. Valid Maine driver’s license.
