Hudson Regional Health in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a Mental Health Worker for the day shift. This full-time role supports psychiatric patients, assists with activities of daily living, participates in group therapy, and helps maintain a therapeutic environment with safety for patients and staff.

Requirements include BA/BS in Psychology or Social Work, 2-4 years related experience, AHA BLS preferred, and strong communication skills.

• Experience: 2-4 years related experience.
• Qualification: AHA BLS preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills; ability to follow up on information with staff members.
• Ability to organize workday and environment to get the job done.

Responsabilités

• Observes and assists assigned mental health patients and helps with daily living activities, therapeutic activities, and socialization.
• Responsible for the overall maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings.
• Performs and records information about patients including vital signs, weight, glucose monitoring, and demeanor.
• May communicate with the patient's family as needed.

Full-time, Day shift, 7am to 3:30pm. Rotational weekend Saturday and Sunday.
