About The Client

The client is a mission-driven organization dedicated to delivering trauma-informed, culturally competent behavioral health and social services. They are currently seeking a dedicated Mental Health Worker to join their Family-Based Services (FBS) team within the Children, Youth & Family Services Division.

Position Overview

The Mental Health Worker will provide in-home and community-based behavioral health support to children, adolescents, and their families. Working in partnership with a licensed clinician, this role focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans, strengthening family systems, and coordinating care across multiple service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment goals in collaboration with the family and clinical team
• Deliver skill-building interventions to children and caregivers
• Coordinate psychological, psychiatric, and interagency meetings (e.g., CASSP teams)
• Assist families in accessing medical, behavioral health, and community-based resources
• Provide supportive counseling to enhance family functioning and resilience
• Advocate for children and families across educational, medical, and social service systems
• Maintain consistent communication with all stakeholders involved in the care process
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credits in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field (required)
• Minimum of one year of experience in a child or adolescent mental health setting
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation
• Strong understanding of family dynamics, community systems, and cultural sensitivity
• Current Pennsylvania clearances (Child Abuse, Criminal Background, and Infectious Disease) or willingness to obtain
  
  

Work Environment & Schedule:

• Community-based role with travel to family homes, schools, and service agencies
• 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling to accommodate family needs (evening hours may be required)
